Shoni Morris

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist · AMFT

I'm Shoni Morris, a clinician with Rio Vista CARE since 2025. Having attained my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a focus in trauma, I bring a deeply grounded, compassionate foundation to my clinical work.

Establishing trust and authenticity is at the heart of my practice. I am here to listen, respect your time, and learn about who you are and what your goals for therapy might be. It’s okay to feel like things are a mess; I encourage asking questions and exploring your unique perspective and worldview on the path to feeling better.
My therapeutic approach creates a safe, judgment-free space where you can feel genuinely seen and heard. I proudly embrace individuals from all walks of life, offering an LGBTQ+ inclusive practice and serving a diverse community that includes older adults, couples, families, children, and youth. With a strong awareness of family and cultural dynamics, I bring cultural sensitivity to every session. My goal is to facilitate meaningful communication and provide the tools necessary for nurturing healthier, thriving relationships.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused techniques, and I am adept at integrating a spectrum of approaches—including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)—tailoring my methods to fit your unique needs and preferences.

My style is direct, transparent, and grounded in empathy. I firmly believe in everyone's capacity for meaningful growth and improved mental health. While I provide a supportive space, I also offer honest, straightforward feedback to help you stay accountable to your goals and move forward.
